Our module based source handling operation course prepares those in HUMINT positions with the tools they need to successfully deveop and manage their sources and garner high quality information. Module 1 is a thorough look at the process and procedures for identifying and proactively recruiting the human sources needed to satisfy the specific information requirements IRs of an organization.

Proactive source recruitment requires a great deal of teamwork, strategy and effort, and when done correctly, will set the stage for a strong relationship between the handling team and source, while maintaining the integrity of the organization for future operations.

Module 2 focuses on face-to-face interactions between handler and source. Often dynamic and unpredictable, the handler must not only be able to extract information of intelligence value efficiently, they must also have the agility to cope with any issue, problem or crisis a source might present in a meeting. This training equips the source handler with the very best tools to ensure that all of the information is extracted accurately and that the source is kept on track, stays safe, and remains content with the relationship.

While many case management decisions are made at the command level, handlers will be expected to provide their unique insight in order to assist management in making realistic, achievable goals for the case. Module 4 — Standard takes an in-depth look at the tradecraft required by the handling team to conduct safe and secure source operations in a variety of environments, from permissible to hostile.

At the completion of the training, the participants will have practiced the planning and execution of both Meet Mechanics and will have a proper understanding of how and when these tactics are to be employed. Type of Contract Permanent.
